Why are we suspending operations?


The MiCA Regulation (Markets in Crypto-Assets, EU 2023/1114) became fully applicable on 30 December 2024. From that date, every entity providing crypto-asset services in the EU is required to hold a CASP (Crypto-Asset Service Provider) licence.
Poland is the only EU Member State that has not yet enacted national legislation implementing MiCA. The President of Poland's latest veto of the draft Act on the Crypto-Asset Market means that the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) formally cannot accept CASP licence applications. There is no administrative procedure that would allow us to legally apply for authorisation before the transitional period ends.
This is not about reluctance to be regulated — quite the opposite. We have been preparing for our CASP application for months: we built AML/CFT procedures, a KYC system, compliance documentation and the necessary technical infrastructure. We are ready. What is missing is the procedure on the government's side.

What changes from 1 July 2026?


  • Until 30 June 2026 — the platform operates fully as normal. You can deposit, exchange and withdraw without any restrictions.
  • From 1 July 2026 — we suspend new transactions. Only withdrawals and transfers of funds from your account will be possible.
  • Fiat funds remain available for bank transfer withdrawal at any time.
  • Crypto assets remaining on accounts after 30 June will be frozen until operations resume.

We are not closing — we are waiting for the law


Wanda Exchange is not shutting down. We are suspending operations temporarily, until Poland enacts MiCA implementing legislation and a formal CASP application process with the KNF becomes available. We expect this could happen within the coming months.
As soon as the licensing procedure becomes available, we will submit our application and return to you as quickly as possible. All existing clients will be notified when we resume.
